PUBG Mobile, the most popular Battle Royale game on the mobile platform, which is played and loved by millions around the world. What makes it stand out, is the amazing graphics, optimized gameplay, advanced controls that can be customized for your comfort and improve the reaction time, and the support for the gyroscope. All these features along with tons of other features make this the game better than any other Battle Royale on the same platform. Many people are already playing PUBG Mobile, and many people are starting. The ones who are just starting with the game may find it difficult at the beginning and might have problems figuring out various aspects. Thus, this PUBG Mobile Guide for beginners is made for people who are planning to start playing PUBG Mobile. Also, this guide will be helpful for the players who want to improve their PUBG Mobile gameplay.
PUBG Mobile Tips for Beginners
Millions play PUBG Mobile, but a very few are better at it. Getting better in a game like this requires continuous practice, strategy, and skills that develop over time. I have been playing PUBG Mobile since it was released back in 2018 and has been practicing since then. But trust me, I still practice a lot and experiment with newer strategies that sometimes work out and sometimes not. Now, let us look at the PUBG Mobile Tips for beginners that can provide you a push at the very beginning and reduce your struggle to a great extent.
1. Don’t Just Install and Play
Do not just install the game and start playing. The very first mistake done by most PUBG Mobile players, including me is that they install the game and start playing right away. Instead, after installing the game, you must set the controls according to your comfort that best suits your thumb and fingers placement. Almost every control icon is movable and can be set according to the comfort of the player. So, go to your settings and customize the controls from the “Controls” tab. After setting the controls test it out if everything is working out for you. If you are happy with your controls then move to the next PUBG Mobile tip.
2. The Secret Weapon
Now, this might be loved or hated by PUBG Mobile players. But, actually is a great sill if you know how to use it. At first, back in the early days, when I started playing PUBG Mobile, I started without the Gyroscope, but later turned it on as I felt like something is missing. Finding the option to Enable/Disable the Gyroscope from the setting was quite a treat for me. And, I have been using Gyroscope since then. Many players who start without the gyroscope, finds it difficult to switch to gyroscope after playing the game for a while. Because it becomes difficult to get used to the gyroscope if you are just starting with it. So, the second and most important tip for a PUBG Mobile beginner is to decide whether he/she wants to use gyroscope or are fine without it.
3. Team UP
Now, many new players might find it difficult to get a place in a squad and might have to play with random players. This is faced by almost every new player in PUBG Mobile, if they do not have their friends already playing the game. For me, it was my friend GoldSKYNYT, with whom I started the game and we used to play the Duo mode. We helped each other out discovering new strategies, weapons and many new stuff in the game. So, having a good partner or squad plays a very important in PUBG Mobile. Do not worry if you do not have any friend in PUBG Mobile, you can start with random players and then befriend the ones whom you like better, thus forming your squad.
4. Sandbox Period
As you will start playing PUBG Mobile, you might find it very easy to get the Chicken Dinner by securing #1 with a good number of kills. DO NOT let this fool you. Because, PUBG Mobile has been designed in such a way that you would not simply land in the lobby with players who are 5 or 6 tiers higher than you, but you will be matched against BOTS. The term BOTS in PUBG Mobile is used for the players who are not real and are deployed in order to fill out the map in case there are not sufficient players. And, in your case, if this is your very first match in PUBG Mobile then get ready to have your map bloated with BOTS with the “ZERO” number of real players.
In most cases, out of the 100 players (Solo Mode), or 25 Teams (Squad Mode) you will be matched against 99 BOTS or 24 BOT Teams respectively. You might win the match and think that the game is pretty easy. But, do not just decide yet. Play a few matches and you will start getting real players to match against you.
5. Solo, Duo or Squad
Now that you have had enough fun killing BOTS, its time to decide the mode that you will be building your game career into. Most people play Squad mode in PUBG Mobile, then Duo and then Solo. Squads are quite fun to play with friends, Duo is a good alternative to Squad mode and solo mode is good for practice and do RP Missions (Royale Pass Missions), but gets quite boring over time. Now, try all these modes and choose the best for you.
Note: If you have plans to get into PUBG Mobile eSports and want to participate in competitive matches then it is highly recommended for you to focus on playing in Squad. This is due to the reason that all the Official PUBG Mobile Tournaments are Squad Only and a team of 4 players can participate in those. PUBG Mobile might bring tournaments for Solo’s and Duo’s in the future, but we are still not sure about when will that happen.
6. Decide Your Role
One of the things that differentiate an average player and a good PUBG Mobile player is the role. A good player always knows what they are good at and keep on practicing that skill to make themselves an even better player and someone o which the team could rely on. Very important in squad and duo, the PUBG Mobile Roles must be decided by individual players if they want to make the best team in PUBG Mobile. Some players might be good at close rand fights, some at sniping, some players are very good at supporting the team and some have great leadership capabilities. Thus, decide for yourself, what is your best quality, and then work on it.
Things to Keep in Mind as a Beginner in PUBG Mobile
Do not focus on winning every match, rather focus on improving your skills and in case you lose the game, just learn from your mistake and remember what you did in the first place that cost you your life.
1. Avoid Hot Drops
As a beginner, do not take a drop in highly dense areas with more buildings such as Pockinki, Military Base, Novorepnoye, Georgopol, North of Georgopol, School, Yasnaya Polyana or any other areas which are considered as “Hot Drops”. Rather, land in areas where there is lesser number of buildings. This ensures that at earlier stages you do not get killed right after landing. Dropping at less popular and isolated areas will help you get proper loot at the start of the match without much dangers from other players.
2. Smart Play
“The Best Defense is a Good Offense”, which indeed is true in PUBG Mobile. This is one of the most important PUBG Mobile Tips for beginners and the biggest mistake beginners do in PUBG Mobile is rushing into other squads without a good strategy. This is simply getting yourself and your team becoming easy kills for other squads who are already in a strategical position. Instead, you can first spot the enemy team, make a winning strategy, and then do the smart rush. Thus greatly increases the chances of your survival while wiping out the enemy team.
Always have a vehicle nearby, and keep it protected. A vehicle is very important and always comes in handy for zone movements and to attack an enemy team who is hiding in a compound/building. It also saves you in case the chances of your survival is very less during a fight, simply hop in a vehicle and getaway, just to fight back with full force when you are ready. A good vehicle includes (Closed top UAZ, Dacia) in Erangel, (Mirado, any Pickup Truck) in Miramar, (Dacia or Zima) in Vikendi and STAY AWAY from a vehicle in Sanhok. Also, the Buggy is a very good vehicle with great fuel economy and strength. The only weak point of buggy being the open rear tires which can be popped easily if you are not very good at driving tactics.
4. Boost Up
Always pick up as many boosters as you can. It is better to have less ammo and more boosters. Always make sure that your orange booster bar is more than half, and if not then consume a painkiller or an energy drink to fill that up. Always before getting engaged in any fight, make sure that you are boosted to the max, trust me this will help you very much and the extra boost would keep healing you automatically upon any damage and save you time to heal during the battle.
5. Team > Your Life
Do not shout for reviving upon getting knocked, yes, you read it right. There are times when we get knocked out by the enemy team while our other teammates are engaged in the battle. You get knocked at someplace where the enemy has a clear view and can kill you at any moment he wants, but he decides not to and baits your teammate. Now, as soon as the teammate comes to revive you, he/she becomes an easy target for the enemy and they easily knocks him/her as well. One knocked after the other, your team gets weaker and weaker and eventually dies. So, you must figure out when you can be revived and when not and act accordingly. It is better to lose a teammate, rater losing the whole team just because of a single player. This is one most important PUBG Mobile Tip to remember especially for the beginners.
